Welcome to the WIEA2012 Website
The Workshop on Women in Industrial Engineering Academia U.S.-Turkey and Eastern Mediterranean is going to be held in Istanbul, Turkey on May 30, 31 and June 1, 2012. The workshop will articulate and share best practices for initiating, funding, sustaining and growing international collaborations for both research and for education. It will also address empowerment for career advancement and leadership.
The workshop will span three days and involve U.S. academics and participants from Turkey and other Eastern Mediterranean countries. Letters of support from institutions in the U.S., Turkey, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Kuwait and Lebanon have been secured. Participants will range from doctoral students intent on academic careers through senior full professors with administrative roles.
